An Aberdeenshire man reported missing earlier today has been found dead by police.
Daniel Wilson, 31, was last seen leaving his Inverurie home at 12.10am and his worried loved ones reported him missing.
Officers leading the investigation into his whereabouts have now confirmed that Mr Wilson’s body has been found.
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
Inspector Sheila McDerment said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Wilson’s family at what will be an extremely sad and difficult time.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who shared our earlier appeal for information and who provided assistance – it has been greatly appreciated.”
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
