Rush hour commuters are facing lengthy delays on one of the north-east’s busiest roads after a collision between a lorry and a car.
A section of the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness route, at Tyrebagger between Bucksburn and Blackburn, has been sealed off following the crash – which took place at 4.30pm.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that there had been no injuries as a result of the incident, but said it was not clear how long the road would remain closed for.
She said: “A car has gone into a lorry, but there are no injuries.
“The road is closed in both directions, to allow for the removal of the lorry and we are not sure how long that will take.”
