Police in Aberdeen have charged a teenage boy in connection with numerous wilful fire-raisings in the Danestone area.
Emergency services were alerted to a number of sheds on fire between December 29, 2017, and yesterday.
A total of six incidents were reported to police at Laurel Avenue, Brander Place, Whitestripes Drive, Whitestripes Path and Fairview Drive.
During one of the incidents nearby residents had to be evacuated as a precaution.
Police have subsequently traced and charged a 14-year-old in connection. He will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Machray said: “Our investigation is still ongoing in relation to these incidents and we are following other positive lines of inquiry.
“I would like to thank the members of the public who have assisted us so far.”
