Aberdeenshire man admits possessing indecent images of children

A man has admitted possessing more than 30 indecent images of children.

Norman Harper was put on the sex offenders register after he pleaded guilty to possessing and making 31 indecent photographs, or pseudo-photographs, of children.

Fiscal depute John Richardson told Aberdeen Sheriff Court he was caught after police received intelligence from a national child abuse prevention agency.

Sentence on Harper, 60, of Tullynessle, Alford, was deferred for the preparation of background reports.

He will return to court next month.
