A woman has been charged following an alleged assault and robbery involving a gun in Fraserburgh this weekend.
The incident took place in the early hours of yesterday morning inside a property on Gray Street.
A man in his 40s received minor injuries.
The 44-year-old woman who has been charged in connection to the alleged incident is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court tomorrow morning.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, and officers are following “a number of lines of inquiry”.
Detective inspector Stewart Drummond said: “We are yet to trace a number of people we believe attended at the property in question and inquiries continue in this regard.
“At this stage I would like to thank the public for their assistance so far.
“Officers have been carrying out inquiries throughout the day and a visible police presence will remain in the area while our investigation continues.”
