The youngster was injured outside Iceland at Aberdeen’s Beach Boulevard retail park at 3pm on Sunday. It is understood that the matter was handled by the driver and the boy’s parents at the time. But police have now charged a 47-year-old man with failing to report an accident to officers, with a report being submitted to the procurator fiscal. The boy was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for treatment. Constable David Jackson added: “I would like to thank the members of the public who assisted with this inquiry.”
