A woman has made a second appearance in court charged with the murder of a man in Aberdeen.
Emergency services attended a property on Alexander Terrace in the Tillydrone area earlier this month where they discovered a body.
The man was later revealed to be 65-year-old Alan Cowie.
Sharyn Stewart, also known as Massie, of Aberdeen, was later charged with murder and appeared in court.
She made an appearance at Aberdeen Sheriff Court again yesterday.
The 52-year-old was also charged with attempted murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
She made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again at a later date.
Neighbours paid tribute to Mr Cowie, who was also connected to the Buckie area, following his death.
One woman, who did not wish to be named, said: “I knew him quite well in passing,
“It was a real shock to wake up and see the news, he was the type who would go out of their way for you.”
His family also issued a statement through the police.
They said: “As a family, we have been left shocked and saddened by Alan’s sudden death.
“We would ask for privacy at this difficult time as we try to come to terms with our loss.”
