Inquiries are continuing after a man was found with serious head and face injuries in Aberdeen over the festive period.
Emergency services were called to a shop at Rosemount Viaduct on December 23, where they found Greg Hougton who had been on a night-out in the city centre the previous evening.
He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he received treatment for serious injuries.
When last seen he had been with a group of 10 men in the Skene Terrace area, all of whom have since been traced, police said today.
Detective Inspector Richie Guild said: “Extensive inquiries have been ongoing to establish the exact circumstances which led to Mr Houghton being injured that night, with a number of people spoken to. I would like to thank all those who have provided information so far for their help.
“As a result of these inquiries which have included extensively reviewing CCTV, the men – most of whom are known personally to Mr Houghton – have been traced with no evidence of criminality established.
“We will continue to act on any information provided to us and I would ask anyone who thinks they can help to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident no. 1323 of Dec 23.”
