An Aberdeenshire hostel has become the region’s first to be granted a top award from a national tourism body.
After achieving a 5-star award at their first ever grading visit, Ballater Hostel is now the only one in Aberdeenshire to hold the exceptional VisitScotland award.
The 25-bed attraction is located in the centre of the town, and attracts many of the walkers and outdoor enthusiasts who come to enjoy the Cairngorms National Park.
