A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a disturbance in Dyce last week.
Two police officers were sent to Glenholm Gardens on Thursday morning last week after receiving reports a vehicle reported missing had been abandoned there.
But while carrying out investigations a red Volkswagen Golf is alleged to have driven at them at speed, forcing them to run for cover .
The car then reportedly left the scene and was spotted driving on the wrong side of the road on Queens Road and Lang Stracht.
It is claimed the abandoned silver Mitsubishi Shogun was stolen from a garage on Charlotte Street in Peterhead earlier that morning and then used in a raid on a business on Denmore Road in Bridge of Don.
Jordan Buchan appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday charged with attempted murder, theft, theft by housebreaking, being in possession of drugs and vandalism.
The 18-year-old from Aberdeen made no plea and was released on bail.
Last night police confirmed a second man, aged 29, had been arrested in connection with the same incident.
Detective Inspector David Howieson, who has been leading the investigation, urged anyone with information to get in touch.
