A north-east housebuilder has announced it will give a scholarship to help a talented youngster study at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.
Stewart Milne Group will offer the £8,000 boost to a student from a deprived community, or other under-represented group.
The scholarship will run every year from the start of the next academic year.
Professor David Mcclean, head of the Scott Sutherland School at the university, was grateful for the move.
He said: “The Scott Sutherland School is indebted to Stewart Milne Group for this pledge, which demonstrates a commitment to educating building and design professionals of the future and allowing talented individuals the opportunity to realise their potential, whatever their material circumstance or background.”
