Fire crews have extinguished a “well-developed” blaze at a property in Aberdeenshire.
About 20 firefighters are in attendance at the timber-framed building on Oaktree Avenue in Banchory, after the alarm was raised at 7.36am today.
It is thought that the fire broke out in the roof of the two-storey property.
A spokesman for the fire service confirmed that the blaze “does seem well-developed”, and explained that the crews would remain on the scene despite word now coming through that the flames have been put out.
The firefighters used hose reel jets, breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras in the battle to contain the blaze.
The service added that nobody has been injured, and there was no need to evacuate anybody from the premises.
