Police and an air ambulance were called to Drumtochty Woods, near Laurencekirk, just before 1pm. It is understood the man fell off his bicycle and hit his head, but officers stressed that his injury was “minor”. The ambulance was seen leaving the area and heading south at around 1.30pm. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “It was only due to the rural location that the air ambulance was used.”
