Three teenagers have been charged after dozens of windows were smashed at an Aberdeen school.
At the end of September, 35 panes were broken at Tullos Primary in Torry.
Last night, police confirmed that three boys, all aged 14, had been charged in relation to alleged vandalism.
They have also been reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
Constable Andy McNally from Torry Community Policing Team said: “Due to a rise in youth related crimes in the Torry area, Operation Smallwood was developed to tackle antisocial behaviour and youth disturbance incidents.
“Vandalism to a school is completely unacceptable.
“It has cost thousands of pounds to replace the damaged windows, this money could have spent on improving facilities for the pupils.
“With the assistance of our partner agencies, we carried out inquiries and the youths have been charged.
“We could like to thank the members of the public who assisted the police throughout our enquiries.”
