The final preparations are underway as Aberdeen’s young orchestra students gear up for their free annual concert.
The Aberdeen City Music School will perform a variety of pieces at the city’s Beach Ballroom next weekend.
Sonia Scaife, the school’s director, said: “The pupils have been working hard to showcase the talent of Aberdeen’s specialist music school based at Dyce Academy.
“The programme will be diverse, with genres from classical to traditional, vocal and instrumental.”
Councillor John Wheeler, the city council’s education convener, added: “The Music School’s annual concert is one of the highlights of Aberdeen’s musical calendar.
“This year’s event promises to maintain the excellent standards that audiences have come to enjoy over the years and I’m sure the eclectic mix of genres will ensure that there is something for everyone.”
The concert will be held at 3pm on March 4.
