An Aberdeenshire road has been closed after a serious crash between a car and a minibus.
Police were called to the A93 Ballater to Crathie road near the Bridge of Gairn at 6.25pm.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers are just on scene.
“The road is closed and will be until the matter is resolved – We are still in the process of dealing with it.”
Fire crews were called at around 6.45pm, and were in attendance at the scene for 15 minutes.
It is understood at least one person has suffered “severe” injuries.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach North Scotland said: “Shortly after 6.30pm this evening, a car was in collision with one of our vehicles on the A93 near Ballater.
“Our immediate concerns are for the welfare of those involved.
“Safety is our highest priority.
“We are assisting police with their inquiries into the incident as well as carrying out our own investigation into the circumstances.”
