One person has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a block of flats in Aberdeen.
Fire crews were called to the building at Brierfield Terrace at 1.40am.
The blaze was extinguished by firefighters and several people were given fire survival guidance before being led to safety by crews.
One person was taken to hospital for a precautionary check.
There have been no casualties as a result of the fire.
Crews remain on the scene to ensure the area is made safe.
At this time there is no inference of criminality.
Station manager and incident commander Hilary Sangster said: “Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews responded quickly and effectively to this incident.
“On arrival the fire was already well developed – but quick and decisive action ensured that the fire was contained to one area and extinguished.
She added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the firefighters and control staff involved for bringing this incident to a safe and swift conclusion, and also our partners for their assistance.”
