The worst of the snow is yet to come for the north and north-east of Scotland, but the so-called ‘beast from the east’ has offered a glimpse of its power today.
The Met Office’s amber weather warning for snow comes into effect at 6am tomorrow and lasts until Thursday night.
Plunging temperatures and blizzards are anticipated, with travel conditions expected to be very difficult in the north-east.
