Power cuts are affecting as many as 20,000 properties across Aberdeen this morning. It’s understood traffic lights and street lights have also been affected. At around 6:20am a high voltage fault was reported to SSE. The company was unsure as to whether the fault was caused by adverse weather or not. SSE has said that teams are on their way to resolve the issue, and they are hoping to have the problem fixed by 8.30am. Reports have been coming in of widespread cuts in Bridge of Don, Union Street, Northfield, Springhill, Old Aberdeen and Berryden.
