Plans to double the price of memorial benches and hike up landlord fees have been ruled out ahead of a budget meeting due to take place in the city next week.
Council officers have put forward a number of options for the city council to save money for their meeting on Tuesday.
The authority wants to shave £125million over five years.
Officers had prepared a list of options including a rise on the price of a memorial bench from £750 to £1,500 and raising the fees for Homes of Multiple Occupancy (HMO) by hundreds of pounds.
But last night council co-leader Jenny Laing said the plans would proceed no further.
She added: “The administration has no plans to increase fees for memorial benches or HMO licences.”
Other options on the table include raising car parking charges across the city which officers estimate would bring in £146,000.
A council tax rise of 3% has already been confirmed.
