Firefighters used cutting gear to free someone from a car after a crash on the A96. Police and fire crews were first called to the scene near the road’s junction with the A920 at 1.26pm when two cars collided. The incident involved a grey Peugeot 508 and a grey Renault Kadjar. Firefighters used cutting equipment to free a person from one of the vehicles. Two fire appliances from Huntly and Oldmeldrum were present. A spokeswoman said: “One person was freed from their car using cutting gear. “They were left in the care of on site paramedics.” The road is has now reopened.
