Bakers across the north-east are being encouraged to use their talents to raise money for a children’s charity.
The Archie Foundation, the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, will stage a big cake week next month.
The mouth-watering challenge follows the success of a day-long event last year, and will run from Monday, April 16, to Sunday, April 22.
Chief executive David Wood offered up some different ideas on how people could take part.
He said: “This is a really fun event to involve family and friends in, and is such a simple way to support local sick children.
“Whether people want to hold a cake decorating contest, see who can eat the most cookies in an hour, or even hold a bake sale for colleagues, every penny raised will support children in the local area.”
Free fundraising packs containing tips and ideas are available to request online at www.archiesbigcakeweek.co.uk or by calling 01224 559559.
