A 15-year-old teenager has been charged in connection with six alleged break-ins and attempted break-ins across the Granite City.
The break-ins occurred at a number of business across Aberdeen including Murdo’s Bar, Nigg Bay Golf Club, the Bobbin pub on King Street, Goal’s Soccer Centre, Spar at Ashgrove Road and King’s Links Golf Centre.
A police appeal for information was released last year after a number of premises were targeted in the city on Thursday October 5, 2017.
Following extensive enquiries led by CID officers, the teenage boy was arrested yesterday in connection with these incidents and the theft of a four-figure sum of cash.
He will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit given his age.
DC Kayleigh McLean said: “I would like to thank each person who got in touch following our earlier appeal for information – your help has been appreciated.
“Our inquiries are continuing into these incidents and I would ask anyone who has information but not already contacted Police to do so.”
You can contact police by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 to remain anonymous.
