Plans for Kintore’s new railway station will be unveiled at a public meeting in the village next week.
Details of the infrastructure that will support the reinstated station will go on display at The Bothie in Kintore on Wednesday, between 3pm and 8pm.
A formal planning application is then expected to be submitted next month.
Proposed plans for the development of the car park, access road and transport interchange will be on display, while officers from Aberdeenshire Council and Network Rail will be on hand to discuss any questions or concerns.
Councillor Peter Argyle, who is chairman of Nestrans, said: “The supporting infrastructure at Kintore plays an important role in making the station an accessible, secure and welcoming facility.
“This is key in making rail travel an attractive option for users and offers them a smooth transfer between different services and modes.”
The station is due to reopen in late 2019.
