The fire started at a workshop next to the Glen Glassaugh Distillery near Portsoy. Nine crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spent two hours dealing with the blaze. A spokeswoman from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received the call at 12.57pm of a fire in a workshop. “It is next to the distillery not inside it on the A98, just west of Portsoy. “The workshop is one floor and was described as well alight by crews. “We had nine crews in total and used four hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera and a height vehicle. “All personnel were accounted for and no one was injured. “We received the stop message at 3pm.”
