Community groups are being given an extra fortnight to potentially claim a share of £80,000.
Clydesdale Bank has extended the deadline for entries to its 2018 Spirit of the Community Awards until April 3.
Now in its sixth year, the scheme rewards community projects falling into one of three categories: Groups which help to protect the environment, move people into employment or promote healthy relationships with money.
Five groups in each of the categories will be awarded £5,000, with a Special Recognition Award worth a further £5,000 also presented to one of the winners.
Debbie Crosbie, chairwoman of the Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank Foundation, said: “We want to maximise the opportunity for registered charities and not for profit community groups to apply for awards which could make a real difference to their local communities.”
