Two appliances were sent to Lathallan School in Johnshaven at 9.21am following a report of a fire in one of its classrooms. A spokesman for the fire service said: “On arrival, crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and it was under control by 9.57am.” No one was injured as a result of the fire.
