Heroin with an estimated street value of £81,000 was seized yesterday afternoon in Aberdeen.
Two local men, aged 37 and 55, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
They are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
Detective Sergeant Calum Bell said: “As a result of valuable information provided to officers, a significant amount of illegal and harmful drugs have been removed from the North East.
“Illegal substances are not welcome in our communities and we will continue to target our resources daily to intercept them before they end up in the hands of vulnerable people.
“I would continue to ask anyone with information about the supply of controlled drugs to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
