Police have released CCTV images to help identify and trace a man who could assist with an ongoing investigation into an assault and robbery in Aberdeen city centre.
The incident occurred on Union Street shortly after 4.20am on Friday November 10 last year, when a 26-year-old man was assaulted.
He was later treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The man also reported that personal items, including cash, had been taken from him.
Detective Sergeant Rhona Di Meola said: “I would appeal to anyone who recognises the person in this image to please contact us as soon as possible as you may have information which could assist.
“Likewise, I would appeal to the man directly to get in touch.
“This was an unprovoked incident which had the potential for far more serious consequences.”
