Passengers and staff were swept off their feet at Aberdeen International Airport by Strictly Come Dancing superstar, Anton Du Beke.
Getting everyone involved, Du Beke turned British Airways’ check in area into the BA Ballroom all to help raise funds and awareness for Sport Relief.
Du Beke’s visit to the North East transport hub was co-ordinated by British Airways Flying Start in support of the national mental health charity.
BA’s Flying Start team and local dance school Lamour, were among those to welcome Du Beke to Aberdeen with cheers, cakes and, of course, dancing.
Phyllis Stuart of British Airways said: “We’re delighted that Anton has been able to join us today here in Aberdeen to celebrate Sports Relief.
“He’s worked with us for a number of years; we’ve raised millions to date and hope to raise £20million by the end of the year. It has been a great day in which the whole airport community came together to join in making for a truly fun fundraising event.”
The famous ballroom dancer wowed the crowds in the airport’s main terminal building taking time to have photographs taken and to chat with passengers.
Then, it was strictly down to business when Du Beke picked volunteers from the crowd to perform with and later giving dancing tutorials.
