A man has appeared in court in connection with the attempted raid on a cash machine in Aberdeen.
The ATM at the Spar store on Clifton Road was targeted on March 6 this year but nothing was stolen.
Ellis Boyd appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday charged with attempting to break into a lockfast place, attempting to cause an explosion, breaking into a house with intent to steal, fraudulently registering a car, being in possession of drugs and having a blade in a public place.
The 26-year-old from Liverpool made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is expected to return to court next week.
Detective Inspector Fionnuala McPhail has urged anyone with information about the ATM incident to contact police.
She said: “Thank you to all those who provided us with information in connection with this investigation at the time.
“Our inquiries are still ongoing and I would encourage anyone with information to call 101.”
