Aberdeenshire women are being urged to take on a muddy obstacle course to help the fight against breast cancer.
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is holding its women-only, non-competitive 5K Pretty Muddy event in Aberdeen for the very first time and is inviting women across region to raise funds and awareness of the illness.
The event will take place on Sunday June 24 at Hazlehead Park and is open to women of all fitness levels willing to spend a few hours climbing over, crawling under and charging through obstacles.
Cancer Research’s Lisa Adams said: “Pretty Muddy has the same fun and inclusive atmosphere of our much loved 5K and 10K events but with added mud, thrills and spills.
“By limbering up and mucking in, women will be uniting against a disease that affects us all in some way.”
“Money raised through Race for Life is helping to drive research to help beat over 200 different types of cancer and that’s why every step, every person and every penny raised counts.”
