A fuming mum has sold her son’s gadgets to teach him a lesson after he racked up a £400 phone bill.
Charlene Corleone-Ficarazzi had banned her 11-year-old boy from using his Xbox online due to the limited wi-fi at their home in Banchory.
But behind her back, he connected the games console up to his 4G smartphone instead and bought dozens of data packs at £17 a time to top up his account.

After the bill arrived, Ms Corleone-Ficarazzi took to social media to flog her son’s gadgets and cover the costs.
She wrote: “Not everyone can afford a £400 bill out of the blue.
“I am not footing this bill, not a chance. He knew what he was doing.”
The boy’s iPhone, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and 2DS were snapped up quickly after being offered for sale, while hundreds more viewed and shared the tale online.
While Ms Corleone-Ficarazzi had been offered a data cap on the contract when it was first taken out, she was unaware she had to call up to get it activated.
Since selling the consoles, she confirmed that the bill has been paid and her son’s account has been blocked from buying extra data.
She added: “We sat our son down and he told us he had been extremely stupid and selfish and was very aware that he was spending money that wasn’t his.
“He was told this was happening and 100% agreed that it was more than appropriate for his actions.
“He’s taking it like a champ. He knew he was wrong.”
Ms Corleone-Ficarazzi is far from the first parent to shame her child online for misbehaving.
Last month Aberdeen mum Karen Paterson took to social media to hit out at the youths who “ransacked” her home during a house party held while she was away for the night.
The 13- and 14-year-olds pulled the curtains down and damaged the light fittings.
Mrs Paterson said she was making her daughter write apology letters to all of her neighbours, and added: “(She) isn’t going out again until she’s 26.”
