Heroin with a street value of more than £200,000 have been recovered in Aberdeen.
Officers executed a drugs search warrant at a property in the Torry area of the city.
A 42-year-old man was charged in connection with the recovery yesterday and is expected to appear in court today.
Detective Inspector Allen Shaw said: “This is a significant recovery of heroin which has thankfully been intercepted before it had the chance to reach the streets of the north-east.”
“From executing drug search warrants to acting on intelligence from members of the public, activity takes place every day across the region to remove illegal substances from our communities.
“I would like to take this opportunity once again to reinforce just how important the information we receive from the public is when it comes to tackling drugs. You can always contact us on 101.”
