The NHS and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) have submitted proposals to take on offices in Aberdeen’s Marischal Square development.
The NHS National Services Scotland, which provides advice to the rest of the health board, has applied for a warrant to fit out the fourth floor of the complex – with the work estimated to cost £254,000.
A spokeswoman confirmed that the lease on its building at Bridge View, which houses 115 employees, expires at the end of the year.
And she confirmed that Marischal Square was among the “various options” for a replacement that the body had been looking into.
RBS also applied for permission to adapt space at the Broad Street building into a new city centre home for the banking giant.
The work would involve creating office accommodation, a kitchen and two stores and is reckoned to cost £500,600.
Muse, the firm behind Marischal Square, has confirmed that talks have taken place with both groups but stressed that no deals have been signed.
A spokesman said: “The Muse team has been in discussion with representatives of both the NHS and RBS as well as other potential occupiers.”
Aberdeen Journals, which publishes the Press and Journal and the Evening Express, last month confirmed plans to move 200 members of staff to Marischal Square.
The £107million development has also signed up Costa Coffee and Prezzo as tenants.
