A father-of-11 who brutally attacked a woman because he could not find a matching pair of socks has been jailed for more than three years.
Nathan Pulman, 42, previously admitted a catalogue of abuse against the woman at addresses across the north and north-east.
Pulman attacked his victim in hospital in Elgin and told her to put her head in a noose he had made and kill herself in just two examples of the decade of terror.
At the High Court in Glasgow today, he was sentenced to 38 months in jail after a judge described it as a “shocking catalogue of domestic abuse”.
Detective Inspector Muriel Fuller said: “I would like to commend those involved for their bravery and for their assistance throughout this inquiry and the subsequent legal proceedings.
“Their courage means that Pulman must now face the consequences of his cruelty.”
