Aberdeen University’s May Festival will feature talks from scientists from across the north-east as the international Soapbox Science event comes to the city for the first time.
It promises to showcase research being carried out at a local level and encourage women to get into science.
Organiser Heidi Gardner said: “I really hope this provides the public with an opportunity to find out about the range of inspiring science and research that is going on in and around the city.
“We have a brilliant line-up of speakers and I hope it will help to inspire the next generation of Aberdeen’s young scientists.”
Speakers will cover a range of one hour topics on their soapboxes, including neuroscience and astrophysics.
Soapbox Science is free to attend and takes place at Aberdeen University’s King’s College Campus on May 26.
