A well-known landscape artist has donated a one-of-a-kind painting to a charity auction in an effort to help disadvantaged and disabled youngsters try out rugby.
Chris Bushe has agreed to allow his work A Gentle Sea, The Sound Of Taransay to go under the hammer for the Aberdeen branch of Wooden Spoon.
The artist graduated from Gray’s School of Art in 1984 and has been making a living from his passion since 1996.
His latest exhibition will open at the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh next month.
Mr Bushe’s painting, which was inspired by the Outer Hebrides, will be auctioned at the charity’s 21st anniversary dinner at The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa on May 24.
Branch treasurer Russell Watt said: “Over the past 20 years the Aberdeen branch of Wooden Spoon has raised in excess of £300,000 for children’s causes in the Aberdeen area.”
