Motorists on the B979 are being warned to expect overnight road closures to allow for surfacing works as part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) Balmedie-Tipperty project.
The work will take place from April 30 to May 3, between 8pm and 6am.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: “The works undertaken during these closures will go a long way in enabling the contractor to complete construction in this area.
“The contractor has been working closely with Police Scotland and the local authorities to ensure anyone who needs to use this section of the B979 during these overnight closures has an alternative available to them, while enhancing the safety of road users and road workers.
“Road users who would normally use this route at night should plan their journeys in advance, and consider giving themselves additional travelling time, so that they can reach their destination safely and on time.”
Diversions will be signposted and access to Stonehaven from the A90 northbound diverge slip road will also be affected.
There will be no access to the A90 via the new southbound slip road during these closures, but access from the northbound A90 is unaffected for those wishing to travel west on the B979.
Pedestrians and cyclists will not have access through the closures.
