An Aberdeen primary school has been awarded £3,000 in National Lottery funding.
Dyce Primary School will use the funding to develop an after school football programme in partnership with community football clubs.
Aberdeen Donside MSP Mark McDonald said: “It is fantastic to see schools in my constituency get involved in initiatives like this and it is great that the money will be used to develop an after school football programme.
“This will help boost activity levels among children and that is to be encouraged.
“I would like to extend my congratulations to all of the staff and pupils at Dyce Primary School for all of their hard work in securing this funding and hope the programme proves to be a success.”
Aberdeen City Council education convener John Wheeler said: “This is fantastic news for the school and I’m sure they will make great use of the after-school football programme, and also have lots of fun.”
