A second man has appeared in court in connection with an attempted raid on an ATM machine in Aberdeen.
The Spar Store in Clifton Road was targeted in March but nothing was stolen.
Police charged one man in connection with the incident earlier this month and this week confirmed another had been detained.
Ian Jones appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday charged with a breach of the 1883 Explosive Substances Act, housebreaking with intent to steal and attempting to open a lockfast place.
The 33-year-old from Liverpool made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is expected to return to court next week.
Detective Inspector Fionnuala McPhail issued a fresh appeal for information.
She said: “Thank you to all those who provided us with information in connection with this investigation at the time.
“Our inquiries are still ongoing and I would encourage anyone with information to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
