Aberdeen residents are being encouraged to sit inside a “giant egg-like pod” and talk about their love of Scotland.
The 8ft tall object will appear at Union Square tomorrow and on Sunday as part of a patriotic National Trust for Scotland drive.
The futuristic-looking pod is touring the nation as part of the charity’s For the Love of Scotland campaign, which launched last month with a film featuring celebrities such as Gerard Butler, Brian Cox and Judy Murray.
Visitors will be invited to enter the pod to view the film on a tablet computer, and then record their own thoughts about what makes Scotland such a special place.
It can seat five people at a time and the best contributions may feature on the trust’s website.
The organisation’s Mark Bishop said: “We’re excited to get the people of Aberdeen involved in our campaign.
“The Trust protects some of Aberdeenshire’s most beautiful built and natural treasures so we hope to hear a few familiar names cropping up, like Crathes or Fyvie Castle, Pitmedden Garden or Mar Lodge Estate.”
No booking is needed to enter the pod during its stay at Union Square and more information about the campaign is available at www.nts.org.uk/love
