Two respected Aberdeen runners have teamed up for a podcast aimed at those who take part in the sport at club level.
Tartan Running Shorts is the creation of GB International runner Kyle Greig and Tom Brian, men’s captain at Metro Aberdeen Running Club.
Mr Brian said: “I felt there was a real place for a podcast discussing athletics and running in Scotland at a club level.”
The podcast aims to be informative and raise the profile of distance running in Scotland whilst also sharing training techniques.
“I think we are pretty relatable to regular club runners,” said Mr Brian.
“We want to get better, we work full time jobs and we love running. I have the same thoughts and concerns that all club runners have and I think people will enjoy hear us chat about that and hopefully learn something from it.”
Tartan Running Shorts have released two episodes so far, but have high ambitions for their future. The show will feature interviews with members of other running clubs and from the Scottish athletics scene to share advice and experiences.
The presenters have plenty advice for Aberdonians unsure how to start jogging.
Mr Greig said: “Aberdeen and the surrounding area has some fantastic places to run.
“I would also recommend running with other likeminded people through being part of a club, group or taking part in the local parkrun scene.
“A recent study at Aberdeen University suggested that exercising with other people is a key to keeping you on track and therefore more likely to achieve your goals.”
