The female owner of a rottweiler that attacked a mother in an Aberdeen beauty spot has been charged by police.
Victim Julia Middleton, of Woodend Terrace, was left with multiple injuries after the incident, which happened on May 13 at Rubislaw burn while she was walking her dog with her young daughter, Beth.
A police spokeswoman said: “The owner of the dog has been cautioned and charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
“A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.”
Meanwhile, a dog was killed and another injured after being hit by a lorry on a busy Aberdeen street yesterday.
Police were alerted to the incident on Auchmill Road, which involved two Staffordshire terriers, just after 9am.
The road was blocked for around 50 minutes, causing delays for motorists.
A police spokeswoman said: “The dogs were hit by a lorry. One has died and the other was taken to be treated. The owners have been notified.”
