A missing Banff man has been found “safe and well” after a major police and coastguard search along the Moray coast.
John Henderson was last seen in the town at around 12.30pm this afternoon, sparking a large operation to find him.
A coastguard spokesman said:Â “We have coastguards from Buckie, Banff, Portsoy and Fraserburgh and the coastguard helicopter from Inverness and the Buckie, Banff and Fraserburgh lifeboats.
“The police requested assistance from us.”
A police spokesman confirmed Mr Henderson has been found “safe and well”.
