A section of a major north-east road has been closed due to a gas leak.
SGN has confirmed it is carrying out emergency repairs on the A980 Raemoir Road, Banchory.
The route has been closed at its junction with Station Road.
Temporary two-way lights have been installed for eastbound and westbound traffic.

SGN has confirmed the road is likely be shut until Monday at the earliest.
A message on the organisation’s website stated: “For everyone’s safety around our work area, we have closed Raemoir Road at its junction with A93 Station Road. Signed diversions are in place for motorists.
“We have installed temporary two-way traffic lights on Station Road for eastbound and westbound traffic while we complete our work.
“We hope to complete our urgent repair by Monday 28 May.”
