A group of young adults from the north-east have been recognised for their creativity and skills.
HD Training Company, who are supported by Banff Day Services, were winners of the Skills and Learning category at the Scottish Learning and Disability Awards.
Judges were impressed by the standard of skill and passion that the group demonstrate ensuring that they fought off some though competition.
The ceremony, organised by the Scottish Commission for Learning Disability (SCLD) took place in Edinburgh last week.
James Reid, Laura Reid, Stacie Duncan, Michelle Graham and Jenna Cumming were honoured for the photography, film making, editing and computing skills they learned.
It helped them create videos used to raise awareness and promote social inclusion for the learning disability community.
Clare Bancroft, the local area co-ordinator, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the whole team, it’s a huge achievement. It’s been an amazing experience.
“The awards are a great way to highlight some of the fantastic work that’s going on in different communities throughout Scotland, and I hope there are many more to come.
“People with learning disabilities are incredibly talented and have so much to offer.
“And, by highlighting that with these awards, hopefully we’ll find even more people to recognise in the future.”
