A Romanian man has been charged after two alleged thefts in Aberdeen.
Police received reports that personal items had been stolen in the city centre in the early hours of yesterday, with another alleged attempt made on Union Street.
The 28-year-old man was arrested and charged a short time later with officers confirming the stolen property has since been recovered.
City-centre Sergeant Brian Hutchison said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who assisted with our enquiries on the night”.
He added: “We have since received reports of other similar incidents taking place in the early hours of Sunday morning and our enquiries are ongoing into these. If you have any information please contact police on 101 quoting ref. no. 0929.”
The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
