River City star Juliet Cadzow will take to the stage at His Majesty’s Theatre this Christmas as she joins the cast of pantomime Snow White.

The Scottish actress will play the role of the Wicked Queen alongside Holby City star Lee Mead, who will play the prince.

She will be joining Aberdeen’s own panto stars Alan McHugh and Jordan Young in Snow White from December 1.

Juliet, who also played the role of Edie McCredie in CBBC children’s series Balamory, has worked extensively with Stanley Baxter, Jimmy Logan and Elaine C Smith.

Jane Spiers, Aberdeen Performing Arts chief executive, said: “Juliet’s impressive career speaks for itself and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her to HMT for this year’s panto.

“I can’t wait to see what her and the rest of the cast have got in store for us.”

Michael Harrison, managing director of the panto’s producer, Qdos Entertainment, said: “We are delighted to have Juliet with us in our Aberdeen pantomime this Christmas.

“Juliet is a much-loved Scottish talent and we know she’s going to be wonderfully evil in her role as the Wicked Queen.”

Snow White opens on Saturday 1 December and tickets are available from www.aberdeenperformingarts.com
