Aboard his rib boat, Stuart Fenty noticed the baleen type whale peering out of the water for air on Tuesday evening. The Fraserburgh RNLI shore crew member took out his camera and started recording as a pale mist burst from the whale’s blowhole. “It (whale) was a lot larger than my boat and did not want to get hit by it,” said Mr Fenty. “I have owned the rib for four years and this is the first time I have seen a minke whale.” Minkes the smallest of the baleen family being between 8.5 and 9 metres long and are mostly commonly found in Scottish waters.
